Mysterious light in Jakarta & Jimbaran aircraft condensation trail

Mysterious flashes of light that pass in Jakarta, Bekasi and Jimbaran Bali on Thursday afternoon yesterday, not believed to be extraterrestrial objects such as comets and meteors. Mysterious object was a trail of condensation (condensation trail) aircraft.

"Allegedly condensation trail from a plane that reflects light of sunset," said research professor of astronomy and astrophysics Institute of Aeronautics and Space Agency (Lapan) Thomas Djamaluddin.

Mysterious light was generated from pengembungan water vapor from the high-flying aircraft about 10 miles.

"As cold air passes smog-forming vapors from aircraft engines called the trail like a cloud condensation trail," said Thomas, on Friday (15/07/2011).

Thomas said, condensation trail looked interesting because it reflects the light of sunset. Atmospheric conditions over the winter when dry allows this phenomenon is visible in some places into the flight path at the time around sunset.

Mysterious light appeared at the Grand City housing Cikarang, Bekasi, on Thursday (14 / 7) afternoon. And Jewel in the Kuningan area, South Jakarta, the color of the light was red light. Mysterious light is also visible from above Jimbaran Beach, Bali, at almost the same.
