London - Bizarre! That sparked a sentence that might see a unique phenomenon that occurs in a small town in England. Suddenly, hundreds of apples falling from the sky like rain.

As reported by The Telegraph, Friday (12/16/2011), apple rain occurred on the highway Keresley, Coventry, England. The apples are falling from the sky and hit the car glass.

"Apples fell from the sky as if they were out of there. It is small, green and hit the roof. Several cars and people stopping suddenly," said one of a rider.

The incident made the residents confused and academics. "No wonder some of the car is damaged but no apple trees around it," the driver said.

"I honestly do not know where the apple came from," he added.

Meanwhile, the Met Office said the possibility of the apples was carried by a tornado.
"It's hypothetical that the apple was carried away by a tornado until they finally fall," said senior researcher from the UK Weather Service, Jim Dale.

"Basically this event is caused by the air vortex, like a mini tornado, lifting something from the ground up into the air and dropped back to earth," he added.
