U.S. House Members Refuse Insisting resigns
United States Congressman Anthony Weiner insisted on not backwards-related scandal that sent obscene pictures to a woman via Twitter. The 46-year-old man was not concerned with a vigorous push backwards submitted his fellow Democrats.
"I do not retreat," said Weiner told the newspaper the New York Post as reported by Reuters on Friday (10/06/2011) when asked whether he would resign.
"I betrayed a lot of people and I know that. I tried to go back to work now and try to make amends to my constituents and of course my family," said a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Weiner is currently heavily pressured to resign. The push came from his fellow Democratic members of Congress. At least 7 members of the U.S. House from the Democratic Party has openly urged Weiner to resign from Congress. The other lawmakers also expect Weiner retreat.
Weiner made headlines after he submitted a photo close-up crotch into a woman aged 21 years through Twitter. Weiner initially denied that a picture of him and insisted that the Twitter account has been compromised.
But lately, the U.S. congressman who was married to Huma Abedin, senior staff of U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, admitted his actions. In a press conference in New York, Monday, June 6 local time, Weiner apologized for his actions.
While crying, Weiner also admitted that he had improperly associated with the six women for 3 years through Twitter, Facebook and phone. But Weiner claim to have never met or physically associated with them. He also claimed never to have sex with someone other than his wife.
